Midwinter’s Day poetry workshop. We’ll start by encountering extracts of Bernadette Mayer’s long poem Midwinter Day, composed across Dec 22 1978, and jump off from Mayer’s work to think about how we compose our own poems of dreams, love and dailiness in the cold and cosy depths of winter.
Workshop led by Joey Frances, PFMG’s de facto resident poet. Joey is a poet, teacher, poetry organiser, interested always in poetry as a collective, social endeavour. He co-organises the reading series Peter Barlow’s Cigarette. You can read his work at pxxtry.com.
Tickets are £5.
