Midwinter’s Day poetry workshop Sat 20th December 2.30-4.30pm, just before our Yalda Feast starting at 5pm. We’ll start by encountering extracts of Bernadette Mayer’s long poem Midwinter Day, composed across Dec 22 1978, and jump off from Mayer’s work to think about how we compose our own poems of dreams, love and dailiness in the cold and cosy depths of winter.
Workshop led by Joey Frances, PFMG’s de facto resident poet. Joey is a poet, teacher, poetry organiser, interested always in poetry as a collective, social endeavour. He co-organises the reading series Peter Barlow’s Cigarette. You can read his work at pxxtry.com.
Apologies but we can’t offer any refunds for any reason, including in the unlikely event the workshop has to be cancelled for any reason.
Be aware your email confirmation is your ticket. You don’t need anything else.
If you would like to come and don’t have the means, please get in touch at events@wearemud.org and we’ll try and sort you out.
