Whispering Ribbons: Folklore of the North workshops. Session 2: Make & create

  • Manchester Urban Diggers CIC Brantingham Road Manchester, England, M21 0TT United Kingdom (map)

Whispering Ribbons:

Two-part workshop (come to one or both!)

Northern folklore has been forgotten. Left to float amongst the trees, weave through the streets and hide under the archways of Manchester.

In our two sessions we will be uncovering the folk lore of the North (and might even be creating our own original tales).

These stories will be mounted upon our very own 'Maypole of Myths' to be shared and passed on, like any good story should.

Session one: Share & connect. Learn about and share each others stories. Finding and making connections between us and our stories.

Session two: Make & create. Co-creating the ribbons for the Maypole of Myths. We will be writing our stories down on fabric ribbons and decorating them. Chance to share our work at the end.

You don't need to bring anything with you, but if you would like to find a tale to share that would be wonderful!
