Nature Neighbourhood Art Trail

  • Manchester Urban Diggers CIC Platt Fields Market Garden Manchester, England, M14 6LT United Kingdom (map)

Following the submission of the Nature Neighbourhood Plan Radiating Out From Platt Fields last autumn, local artist Phil Barton is putting on an urban nature art trail opening in April and available at all times when the Market Garden is open until 02 November.

It also features guest artists Robina Ullah, Steve Sutton, Sardar Majeed and Park Range Yarn Bombers who made the spectacular Green Man. All the work on show features an aspect of nature in the wider Fallowfield, Rusholme and Moss side areas to inspire and motivate us all.

A cafe will be open serving hot drinks and snacks, and a simple hot meal will be available at 1pm from MUD Kitchen.

There is rough ground and steps along the trail, so please wear suitable footwear, and weatherproof clothing if needed.

PROGRAMME

  • Drinks available from 10.45am

  • Guided tours by the artist around the Art Trail at 11.15pm and 12.30pm

  • Lunch served from 1pm until it runs out

Thanks to the artists, to Manchester Urban Diggers staff and volunteers and my partner Helena Kettleborough for their enthusiastic support throughout!

See you there! Phil Barton.
