Most of us know climate change is happening. Far fewer of us could explain how the pieces actually connect: why emissions lead to ocean acidification, how that links to food security, or where the feedback loops are.

Climate Fresk is a collaborative workshop that might help you become more confident talking about climate change. Working together with a deck of cards based on IPCC science, you'll build the whole picture yourself. Like playing a board game, it's genuinely enjoyable!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN
You'll work in a small group, laying out cards and drawing the links between them.

Then you'll title your fresque, talk about how it feels, and finish with what any of it means for you specifically.

Around three hours of workshop, with a proper lunch break in the middle. You're welcome to bring your own food & beverage, but we highly recommend buying at least a drink to support the MUD for sponsoring the venue!

WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone 16 or over. No science background required.

WHAT IT COSTS
Nothing. The garden is giving us the space for free, so please buy a drink or your lunch from their café. That's how we're saying thank you, and it keeps a genuinely good local space running. You can also bring your own food and drink. Donations to Manchester Urban Diggers are very welcome.

ACCESS
The site is partially wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet, gender-neutral toilets, baby change facilities and free parking next door. Please tell me about any access needs when you book, or email me.

Mimi Pham, a sustainability specialist living a few steps from the park. She does carbon reporting for a social enterprise in Manchester for a living, and I run these free sessions for fun!
