MIF X MUD: Party in my house…and yours.
In 2021 we were selected to produce a film for Manchester International Festival during lockdown. We worked with @rmcvideography who created these two beautiful short films documenting two cooks who were involved in the garden.
We wanted to celebrate their heritage and connection to food, whilst now living in Manchester.
There’s an incredibly diverse community in Manchester and food is at the heart.
We grow a range of fruits, vegetables and herbs that are culturally diverse. Everyday conversations with visitors and volunteers have lead us to growing, cooking and eating some incredible dishes from around the world.
Building our outdoor grill and firepit allows us to host a range of chefs and local cooks, inviting them to cook on fire the food they love, using the very best ingredients straight from the ground.
We’d love to host more chefs and cooks at the garden and produce more videos like these with Ryan. Get in touch if you want to get involved or would like to fund a project like this.
