Alternative Pride - Saturday We Party

  • Manchester Urban Diggers Platt Fields Market Garden Manchester, England, M14 6LT United Kingdom (map)

This years Alternative Pride beds into nurturing the community from the soil up. Bring what you have to the compost heap; whether you’re stuck in the weeds or a dancing bug, there’s room for you here.

Alternative Pride is back for our 4th year! Join us amongst the flowers for a jam-packed Saturday programme of queer talent and artistry. A huge, decadent slice of celebration and creativity. Bring your dancing shoes because we're having a party!

Expect a day of talks, workshops, activities, performances, live music, and DANCING -everything you've grown to love about Alternative Pride.

The bar will be serving boozy and soft drinks with some super special guest drinks, and Root to Flower will be selling plant based vegan food.

AFTER PARTY

Keep your eyes peeled for the afterparty launch...

GET INVOLVED

Volunteer your time on the day and get a free ticket, there are lots of ways you can help.

Would you like to perform or share something in the programme?

Are you an artist, maker or food trader? Want to have a stall at the Sunday Market?

Alternative Pride is a regenerative project - each year we learn and develop to provide the spaces we see are missing.

All ticket proceeds and donations go to the not-for-profit social enterprise MUD CIC & Platt Fields Market Garden - the community garden the event is based at. Every penny of profit goes to making sure the gates stay open all year to ensure that the Market Garden remains open for every single individual and community that grows here. Your continued support means the world <3

TICKET INFORMATION

This year we have changed the way we price the tickets to more fairly represent the programming and work that goes into a full weekend festival.

For the full day of programming on Saturday we have set the ticket price to cover a small number of heavily discounted tickets for people with no access to funds.

If you or someone you know needs one of these tickets please email events@wearemud.org. These will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

The number of tickets available will depend on how many full-price tickets sold and so we will issue discounted tickets as and when we can.

We also have a limited amount of subsidised tickets for unwaged/low waged people. Please use your own judgement on this.

There are a number of early riser discounted tickets too, doors open at 11:30 with bar and food stalls available to purchase from, settle in and get ready for programming to start from 12 on Saturday.

We've sold out every year, so please buy your tickets in advance if you are able to do so!*

*We will have a limited number of tickets available on the door for those whose need them.
