Taught by Meg Beamish, this four week course covers the basics of working with freshly dug clay from start to end. We will show you each stage of the process, from sieving and mixing local clay and slips, a variety of making techniques including the potters wheel, and decorating your work

This course is suitable for complete beginners.

When you arrive please come in through the garden’s back gate (enter the park through the Mabfield Road entrance and immediately turn right). Please wear warm clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting messy, hot drinks and biscuits will be provided but feel free to bring snacks!
All of your lovely creations will be fired and glazed, and will be available to collect 1 month from the date of your last session.
