Mike and Jo will be leading a relaxed Q&A session and introduction to how to set up a food growing project, covering the struggles and barriers, general advice on setting up social enterprises and increasing community engagement amongst other general issues about growing food in an urban environment.

There will be a tour of the garden and Q&A plus opportunity to meet like minded people, hopefully to see who else is keen to set up a new food growing project, maybe even leading to exciting new collaborations!

The talk is at Platt Fields Market Garden so will be outside. We will be following covid compliant protocal.

Please let us know your dietary requirements when booking your ticket.

Jo, Sam and Mike started Platt Fields Market Garden in January 2017 and set up Manchester Urban Diggers CIC in 2019.

By sharing their experiences and knowledge they hope to help more projects succeed in Manchester and beyond.
