About the event
This hands-on session will talk you through the process of log mushroom cultivation step by step, working through both the theory and practice of how to grow your own tasty mushrooms on hardwood logs! We'll be providing some local strains of hardwood-loving edible fungi to inoculate your logs with.
Attendees will take home their own log ready to fruit at home, with aftercare instructions and a guide on how to get the best out of your harvest. Please note that we advise logs to be kept in a garden with a damp shaded area.
We'll provide everything you need, just wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting a bit dirty.
We are conscious that the price of this event is higher than bucket workshops. We have tried really hard to make sure that we can offer this as affordably as possible with the materials needed. Part of that is by having a sliding scale- so if you can afford it please consider buying a solidarity-tier ticket to help make it accessible for those who can't afford it.
If you have any questions or access adjustments, please email us at manchestermushroomcoop@gmail.com
