About the event
UPDATE: Unfortunately it's forecast to rain tomorrow so we've decided to cancel the picnic, but we'll still be going on a walk and working together identifying any interesting plants and fungi we come across. Meet at 12:30 for the walk!
We are off on a wander round Gorton's Debdale Park!
Meeting location: near the entrance opposite McDonald's
Join us at 12.30 for a picnic and at 1.15 for the wild wander. We will be having a look around Debdale Park and work together to identify any fungi, flora and fauna we come across. We aren't experts, and we'd love you to help out with IDing and talking about anything we find. Feel free to bring any field guides and hand lenses if you have them.
This isn't a foraging walk, but we might find wild edibles whilst we are there. Please always be 100% sure of what you eating before you eat it!
All ages welcome. Dogs are welcome too, so long as they don't eat our picnic!
