About the event
Learn how to make country wine using seasonal produce in a friendly covid safe environment. Â The evening will involve making your own country wine to take home. Tasting various country wines and a general discussion about fermentation, drinks and food hosted by Lorcan Kan. It will cover topics such as water, sugars and wild yeasts.
There will be a meal prepared by Lorcan for attendees.
Lorcan Kan has worked as a chef all over the globe, for restaurants such as Attica, Nahm in Thailand (1 Michelin star) and Contra in New York (1 Michelin star). As well as working as a private chef aboard luxury yachts. He is currently in charge of the fermentation program at Manchester restaurant Where The Light Gets In. His personal project Things Palace has been hosting supper clubs the last 2 years around Manchester, Melbourne, London and Berlin. In 2019, he launched a range of hot sauces and condiments. And in 2020 Lorcan Began working with Platt fields Market Garden focusing on food preservation and running workshops to share his knowledge.
